How can I transfer money online, directly from Transfer Rapid website?
In order to transfer money online you need to follow these simple steps:
1. Identity Verification – Transfer Rapid is a financial institution supervised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the National Bank of Romania (NBR), and as such, is required to verify your identity to adhere to its strict regulations. Online identity verification is performed when you first validate your Transfer Rapid account, and all you need is a valid ID and access to a video camera.
2. Complete Transfer Details:
- Accurately enter the complete name of the Beneficiary for cash pickup at any CEC Bank branches or ATMs. If you want to transfer money to a personal or business bank account, you must enter the Beneficiary’s bank account number (IBAN).
- Enter the Transfer Amount and the required currency.
3. Payment Processing – you have the option to pay either with a debit or credit card. Make sure that your debit or credit card has the 3-D secure activated for online payments before completing the payment (request your card issuer the 3-D secure activation for online transactions). You can also select the currency in which the Beneficiary can pick up the money or receive it into the bank account.

Where can a Beneficiary pick up the money sent with Transfer Rapid?
A Beneficiary can pick up cash at any CEC Bank branch or ATMs, or deposited directly into any bank accounts.
Money sent to a business can only be deposited directly into its bank account.
A Beneficiary can request from any CEC Bank branch the Transfer Rapid Loyalty Card, which can be used for cash withdrawals at any 24/7 CEC Bank ATM.
What identity documents are required to pick-up the money at a CEC Bank branch?
You must present one of the following identity documents to pick up the money at any CEC Bank branches:
- Identity Document
- Permanent Residence Card
- Passport
How long does it take for an online money transfer to be available for payment?
The money sent using the Transfer Rapid website or mobile app can be picked up within a few minutes at any CEC Bank branch during business hours or at any CEC Bank 24/7 ATM using the Transfer Rapid Loyalty Card.

How much money can I transfer online? Is there a limit to how much I can transfer online?
You can send up to 5,000 EUR or the equivalent in GBP, USD or RON using the Transfer Rapid website or the mobile app.
There are limits on how much money you can transfer, which is established by the legislation of the country where the transfer originates from. We assure you that we will notify you in your Transfer Rapid account when you reach the transfer limit.
How can I transfer cash from other countries?
You can transfer cash using any of our 400,000 Transfer Rapid worldwide partners. Contact us to find out the location of the nearest Transfer Rapid partner so that you can send cash to your loved ones. Cash can be picked up from any CEC Bank branch or ATM, or you can transfer money to any bank account in Romania by indicating the Beneficiary’s bank account number (IBAN).
What are the benefits of having a Transfer Rapid Loyalty Card
Beneficiaries can request the Transfer Rapid Loyalty Card at any CEC Bank branch.
The Loyalty Card allows customers to withdraw money without using a debit/credit card or bank account. In other words, the money can be picked up from any CEC Bank 24/7/365 ATM using only the Transfer Rapid Loyalty Card.
Moreover, customers with the Loyalty Card can participate in prize drawings. Every money transfer represents an “opportunity point” for a prize drawing. Campaign rules can be reviewed on our website.

How do I use the Transfer Rapid Loyalty Card?
The Transfer Rapid Loyalty Card is used to withdraw money transfers from any CEC Bank ATM. Follow these 4 simple steps, and you are on your way to a successful transaction:
Step 1. Select Transfer Rapid and your preferred language, then enter your Loyalty Card number.
Step 2. Enter the amount sent without decimals.
Step 3. Select the option to withdraw the money right away.
*If the money received is in a currency other than RON, you will see the currency exchange rate displayed on the screen. CEC Bank ATMs dispense money only in RON currency. Please go to the nearest CEC Bank branch to receive money in the transferred currency.
Step 4. Take the receipt and money.
What are the reasons for cancelling my online payment using the Transfer Rapid website?
Sometimes, online payments using a debit or credit card are canceled due to the following reasons:
1) The bank that issued your debit or credit card declined the payment because you have:
- insufficient funds in your bank account
- an amount that which exceeded your allotted limit
- your debit/credit card may not have the 3-D Secure activated for online payments.
We recommend contacting your bank representatives or accessing your online bank account to resolve the issue.
2) By Transfer Rapid
We may only accept an online payment if it complies with the Transfer Rapid rules or the current legislation.
